What is freethinking?

Freethinking is building one's beliefs based on science and reason, not dogma.
You pay nothing for this method of thinking, and your reward is a clear mind, bereft of mythology.

I have heard a family name but I don't know how it should be written" Hashoey", any idea please?

Hashoey (1998) argued that many of the style-based thories are personality based and Bigg's model is not an exception
I think that you inadvertently combined two questions during a cut and paste operation.

How does the Judas Priest case demonstrate how psychology influences law?

The judge in the case ruled that the band was not liable because he believed that there was no
scientific proof that even though subliminal messages can influence a person's thinking,
they are not powerful enough to convince a person to take his won life.
Psychological experiments have proved that subliminal messages can influence people,
but there has been no definitive study that can provide a legal level of proof that
the messages can influence a person to commit suicide.

In psychology we say that where there is fire there is smoke?

Why are women so competitive with other females, insecure... or they want to impress their male counterparts?

We tend to pick competitors who are deemed
to be of equal ability and strength.
For example, if we are looking for a
match at the local golf course, we are
going to challenge someone who has an equivalent ability level.
In matters of physical strength, many women will not usually challenge a man.
However, in a mental agility contest, most confident
women are more than willing to challenge a man or woman
who they perceive to be in their mental weight class.
Unfortunately, cultural tendencies and maternal leanings
have overly influenced some women to not challenge a man
under any circumstances. I believe that cultural bias is quickly fading.

When you've experienced a "turning point" i your life?

I would suggest that you take time to analyze the situation
as best you can with the information you have available to you,
and then make a definitive decision to move in a specific and positive direction.
Then, put your heart and soul into your new life adventure.
And, don't look back.

Psychologists: Do you think it would be best if?
Psychiatric inpatients had free access to occupational therapy
materials, music, crafts, etc. after their initial stabilization
on medications, rather than being restricted to their use at
established times? I think it might speed up the process of recovery.

I think that free access needs to be earned
by a professional evaluation of the appropriateness
of the patient's behavior during both supervised and unsupervised therapy.
Over a period of several weeks, the patient should need to prove
his ability to comprehend and successfully implement his opportunity
to accept the personal responsibility and freedom that is being granted.
Of course, many psychotic patients cannot measure up to that responsibility.

Have a wierd tendency to act out a certain scene again or think about what happened ...?

To make sure that I didn't do something I should't have done.
Like, I'm not supposed to remove facial or body hair for a few
months due to a medical reason, and I worry about whether I accidentally removed any.
Am I insane?
Please don't ask me to see a therapist or take pills.
I get this thing once every few days, usually when I get stressed about something.
You may have some obsessive tendencies but they certainly seem to be in the normal range.
We all have some level of doubt about the appropriateness of our actions.
However, we cross the line if we are compulsive or obsessive about specific activities.
I would suggest that you try not to ruminate about the past so much.
Relegating past thoughts and actions to the background of your consciousness
and living completely in the present is the best way to mollify these troubling thoughts.

What am i suppose to do to with a pesky officemate?

He pisses me off!He ransack my files when i'm not around the office or doing field works.
First, approach him in a non-confrontational manner and firmly but gently state your concerns about his actions.
If he doesn't respond, report him to his supervisor.
If the supervisor doesn't respond, submit a complaint to the human resources department.
On a personal note, I ran into this problem a few years ago.
I became so exasperated by the inaction taken by everyone that
I finally moved my desk and chair out into the hall for a few days.
The problem was quickly resolved.

Why we always look for something perfect? Do dreams ever come true?

I think that it an innate human compulsion to seek perfection in everything we do.
We usually fall woefully short of our goal, but it's all about the journey toward
the goal, not the achievement of the goal.
Of course, dreams can come true. Success usually depends on how high we set the bar.
Most of us prefer to set extreme goals so that we can test the limits of our potential.
If we don't have that aspiration, we should try it.

What is the course of not being retaintive?
e.g in sense of after reading and thought, within an hour I can't remember all.

You need to study the same material thoroughly and completely in several separate sessions.
The first session will allow you to garner the essence of the text.
The next sessions will allow you to glean more subtle and esoteric aspects that you did not absorb in the earlier sessions.
Quality study time over several sessions is the key to retention.

Can someone send me an example of a critical career review - i have been asked to do the viva route?

I have been asked to do the viva route but have no example of what I am trying to achieve.
I believe this review to be a self assessment of your career during a specific evaluation period.
Your appraisal could be presented orally using standard presentation software.
You could highlight the main aspects of the job that you have learned and mastered,
awards that you have won, your accomplishments, and even mistakes that you have learned from and corrected.
At the end of your presentation, there could be a question and answer
session to allow you to demonstrate your communication and analytical skills.

What is Love? Does love finds you and how?
What is the difference between the love eg what Erich Fromm says?

Erich Fromm, Siegmar Weis, Author of Books about Loveing, Differences between the LOVE.
I consider romantic love to be the mutual sharing of an intimate relationship with another human being.
Love can be expressed by willingly adapting our own personality to become better attuned to our lover's needs and wants.
Love is a dance of give and take, with each party equally sharing in the rewards of the relationship.

Epinephrine effects on body...? (Artificial and Natural)?

Can someone please explain to me why when you take heroine or morphine
(or any drug that causes your body to release epinephrine) it causes
you to become depressed when you arent 'high'. Because I heard that
'adrenaline junkies,' are more often that not, happy people. And personally,
I am a very happy person and I love to skydive and do other risky things.
So my question is... why are people that seek adrenaline rushes not
depressed when they are not doin something like skydiving? Shouldn't
I always be feeling down when I am not skydiving, since I would be if I wasn't 'high?'

I believe it is because you return to your normal state
after an adrenaline rush rather than to a depressed state.
Or, additional hormones are released during the high,
then production returns to normal after the experience.

How can I stop feeling so needy to have a boyfriend?
Rather than focusing one what's on the other side of the fence, take the time to get to know yourself better: your likes, dislikes. Hang out with your friends more often, and enjoy the single life. Really take the time to go out with your single friends and experience your local nightlife, chat up some hot guys, and enjoy the fact that you are not tied down and don't have any obligations to anyone else but yourself.

That special guy will find you when you least expect it, and when you are not looking so hard - I am proof of that.

Is forgiveness really beneficial?
Yes. When you forgive, that person no longer has power over you. You release them from ownership of you. You don't have to have contact with them, you don't have to like them, you are just able to move past them.
